The information here is guidance, not advice
We work hard to be accurate and we date the things that go stale. Ferry and fast-boat times are checked against the operators rather than against aggregator listings, which go stale and keep selling cancelled routes. Sea state and monsoon timing come from the national meteorological services, not from a brochure’s ‘best time to visit’. Park and site access - Maya Bay’s quotas, the Goreme museum, the Grand Mosque’s dress and entry rules - is checked against the authority that sets it. Prices are given in baht, rupiah, lira and dirhams with the month they were checked. Even so, prices, timetables and opening hours change without notice, and the authoritative source is always the operator or the authority concerned. Check anything a trip depends on against its official source before you rely on it. We are not liable for a decision made solely on the basis of a page here.
No professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, medical, insurance or financial advice. Ferry cancellations, sea conditions and island transport change with the weather, and a connection described here can be cancelled the same morning.
Third-party links and purchases
Some links lead to third parties, and some of those earn us a commission. Any purchase is a contract between you and that seller under their terms. Refunds, delivery, service quality and disputes are theirs to resolve, and we have no ability to intervene in them.
Our content
The text on this site is ours. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link; systematic copying, republication or use as training data for a commercial model is not permitted. Photographs are used under Creative Commons licences and credited individually: their terms are set by their authors, not by us.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, attempt to access the admin area, or reproduce the site in a way that suggests we endorse another product.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, and any dispute arising from them falls to the courts of Seychelles. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
